Its been a grueling week so far, but third regular school year here at NDSU is done with, yay! Just one week left of finals and random projects and i’ll be in summer mode. Here is the powerpoint I showed in class for my presentations, 24 slides, but worth every second.

Well, its been quite a busy couple of weeks, haven’t been able to blog much because of work and school. Decent amount of updates will follow. For studio, I’m still really liking the school/apartment building i’m working on. Its presented a lot of challenges so far, but I think its coming along nicely, need to finalize the plans and elevations there, but I keep jumping around on the project. I finished all the urban readings and papers, a little time consuming but worth it. And now finishing up the detailing project due todayish. Then Chicago. Before chicago I’ll update with the booklet i’ve put together for detailing, then where i’m at in studio.

started our new project, i went with the restaurant off main. It was a tough choice but one had to be made. Need to come up with 3 different designs this week, going to be a little challenging trying to get everything to work. update of 3 designs to follow. typed with left hand on account of bloody nose, not to shabby

Over break, took a trip to Kansas City to check out the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. It was designed by Steven Holl. I really enjoyed that building and as soon as get the pictures off my camera i’ll through a couple up here. I also bummed around Minneapolis for a day checking out some of the art, architecture, and some of the houses on the lakes there, pretty good break all and all.

Well its been a rough week but Danielle and I have finally finished the Sunflower Research Center. The boards are done, after what seems like waiting for weeks for renders and trying to finish our boards. Link to pdf here

We are in production week here for studio, as well as a busy week for several of my other classes. This is a minimal update, not much has changed on the project, we are just furthering the detail in revit and Danielles making a pretty BA detail model. Thats pretty much it for now, got to get back to work, the final presentation boards will be posted this friday.
